About me
Stewart received her BS in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University and her MFA in Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. After several years concentrating primarily on the commercial design sector, she founded Laura McDonald Enterprises, allowing her to explore a variety of smaller project types. For almost two decades she produced PLiNTH & CHiNTZ, the online resource that provided information, inspiration, and resources to interior design students, new graduates, and seasoned professionals. For almost 10 years Stewart managed METROCON Expo & Conference, the annual Dallas-based, two-day, 40+ CEU, 250+ exhibitor trade show focusing on the built environment. Stewart is very active with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) both nationally and within the Texas Chapter. In 2016 she received the designation of ASID Fellow and was recognized as ASID Volunteer of the Year in 2025.
